I haven't made a blog post in about 10 days, and it took me a few tries to get this thing up and running. Lesson learned: I need to keep using the tools from Learning 2.0 regularly or my newly acquired skills will get rusty fast.
I am headed to my father's for the Super Bowl this weekend. I love the old man dearly, but I can't breathe when I'm at his house. He's a chain smoker with a fireplace that's roaring from November through April--even if it's 60 degrees outside. Then add two profusely shedding (but adorable) cats to the equation... By the time I leave after a visit, the oxygen level in my bloodstream is dangerously low due to the fug, and every allergy known to womankind has descended upon me.
Thank goodness his TV screen is big--or I wouldn't be able to see the game through the smoke and ashes.

You are such a trooper. As an ex-smoker now for almost 10 years, I can relate. I have no tolerance for it anymore. But you are a wonderful daughter to put up with the unpleasant situations to be with your Dad. It's important to be patient with our aging parents and yet very hard to do sometimes. Enjoy the game - be safe and we'll see you back in Library Land next week. Hugs.
Be careful out there and take our phone numbers - we'll bring oxygen and insanity with us!! Have a great time with your Dad watching the game - I like the commercials - don't really care about the game! See ya on Tuesday - I have my eclairs!!
